Profile of the finished pin. All work including the knurling at the top was done on the lathe at wyotech.

These two pictures show the reinforcement for the handle it is 1/4 inplate over 1x2x.120 rectangular tubing.

This is the rachet piece. This took a day and a half on the vertical mill to machine out every tooth (11) on it. Since it is 3/4 of an inch thick and I could only take .010 of an inch at a time it took 825 passes on the mill to complete all with no autofeed.

This is where the handle fits onto on the bender. I put in the extra gusset where it would normally be open. You can also see that the arms are made from the same 3/4 inch plate as the rachet. This creates a much stronger but heavier piece of equipment.

This is the custom bracket I made. Normally there would only be two pieces of tubing but I decided that holding up the rachet to apply more direct forces would be a good idea so I spent a little time on the mill making this really cool part.

The finished product in all its glory. It makes the ones at school look like little girly benders.
