Disneyland 2011

We decided to take a family vacation before Sean leaves for Basic Training, and after looking at weather reports for possible camping spots, we decided Disneyland was the place to go! The kids were very excited to go, even though they didn't quite understand what Disneyland is until they got there. They had lots of fun, and each picked their favorite rides. Logan loved the Buzz Lightyear ride and Soarin' over California. Lyla's favorite was the Carousel (the horsie ride). Grandma and Grandpa came with us, and we are so grateful! They made a trip to Disneyland with 3 young kids possible!
I was a little nervous, at first, that the kids would be afraid of the characters. I didn't need to worry, they LOVED them! Lyla was so excited to see Eeyore, she tried to run over to him as he was walking over to his spot. She was also very excited to see Minnie.

After pictures with Tigger and Pooh, Tigger came over to Lewis and gave him some kisses. It was very cute!

Sean and I have a tradition of eating dinner at the Blue Bayou, the restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It is way fun and very good food!

In Toon Town, we went through Mickey Mouse's house, and ended up waiting in a line for something , but we didn't know where the line went. It turned out that we were waiting to meet Mickey Mouse! The kids were super excited. What a great surprise!

Grandma and Grandpa. . . "just being a couple of old people."

Sean and I asked Logan if he wanted to ride an elevator ride that went up and down with us. He said ok. He was fine until we got inside and then he started saying he didn't want to do it. We got him strapped in and told him he'd be fine. He was afraid we were going to disappear like the people in the little movie. He didn't believe we were going to be ok. He made it though! He did such a good job! After we got off, we asked him if he wanted to go again. . . he gave us an emphatic "NO!" Maybe in a couple years.

Grandpa's kind of snack machine!

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back!
